The two-day stackconf 2025 was once again a fantastic event for tech enthusiasts and IT professionals! After several successful years in Berlin, this year’s edition took place in Munich. The bright and spacious venue provided a pleasant setting that encouraged both focused listening and relaxed networking throughout the event. This behind-the-scenes article offers a quick recap of stackconf 2025 and extends a big thank you to everyone who helped make it special.

Inside the stackconf Program

The focus of stackconf 2025 was on cloud native and open-source infrastructure. We were thrilled to welcome such a wide range of expert speakers who provided the audience with valuable insights and plenty to think about.

Talks covered topics like sustainable infrastructure, observability and cloud-native approaches. A big thank you to all our speakers for sharing their knowledge, experience, and ideas – your contributions were a key part of what made stackconf so valuable.

In addition to the keynotes, the Open Space discussions were a real highlight. Topics like password managers, database schema as code, APM & observability, and Kubernetes sparked conversations that extended well beyond the sessions themselves.

The pleasant weather offered a great opportunity to end the first day with a relaxed sundown gathering just outside the location and chat with fellow attendees.

The stackconf Team

Behind the scenes, Markus and Lukas were the organizational heart of stackconf. Together with Katja, they arrived a day early to take care of all the necessary preparations. From setting up the stage and technical equipment to arranging signage and making sure everything was in place. Their experience and calm coordination were key to a smooth event.

From the Marketing Team, Katja and I were there to cover the conference on our social media channels and share updates throughout the day in real-time. We also captured video impressions and recorded a few short interviews with some of our speakers to share their thoughts and highlights from the event.

Thilo supported us by capturing many great moments with his camera – from casual conversations to on-stage highlights. Our brilliant moderators Bernd and Daniel kept the energy high and the schedule on track, while Achim and Leander provided live documentation with their daily blog recaps. Teamwork at its best!

Our sponsors at a Glance

We would like to sincerely thank all the sponsors who supported stackconf 2025 and helped make the event possible. Our silver sponsors, Andersen and NETWAYS Web Services, were present on site with their own booths, giving attendees the opportunity to learn more about their portfolios and engage in direct conversations. We are also thankful for the support of our bronze sponsors: Thomas Krenn, Automat-it, OpenInfra Foundation, Pulumi, atlas, and SYSTEMATIC. A special thanks goes to our media partners IT-Administrator, Linux Magazin and GermanTechJobs – for their collaboration and continued interest in our event and its topics.

Attendee Impressions

What makes stackconf truly memorable? For many, it’s the atmosphere, the conversations, and the people. At stackconf 2025, our attendees highlighted exactly that. “It’s a nice conference, a very nice vibe and honestly the people are very very cool here,” said Alexandru Dejanu from SYSTEMATIC, capturing the friendly and open spirit of the event.
For Martin McLarnon from Coralogix, the energy in the room stood out: “The atmosphere here is fantastic. There’s a lot of energy and a lot of people are listening and asking very good questions.”

He also enjoyed the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals: “I was talking to many people – we discussed lots of ideas and lots of different technologies.”
These impressions reflect what stackconf is all about: inspiration, exchange, and community.
