HW group informiert über aktuelle Updates

HW groupDas Unternehmen HW group mit Hauptsitz in Prag liefert eine große Menge an Monitoring Hardware für unseren Online Store. Eine Einbindung in Icinga und Nagios lässt sich dank SNMP-fähigkeit unproblematisch vollziehen. Somit sind die Umweltmonitore echte Topseller! Gerade wurden wir wieder über einige Updates informiert:
 
Es gibt eine neue Version für das HW group STE und HW group STE2 (Version jeweils: 2.1.1). Diese enthält folgenden Fix:

  •  Memory management in LLDP

Außerdem meldet HW group auch für das Poseidon2 und das Damocles2 ein Update. Hier gibt es diese Änderungen:

  • Fix: freezing after pressing F5 and opening many connection at once.
  • MOD: Faster loading WWW (5 times faster)
  • Add: support for IPV6 in to UDP Setup.

 

Weekly Snap: OSDC 2014, Puppet Camp & GnuPG/GPG Best Practices

weekly snap7 – 11 April was OSDC 2014 and PuppetCamp week, with a few GPG best practices and Python musings slipped in.
Eva ended her countdown to the OSDC with Daniel Kirstenpfad’s talk on ‘Why Virtual Development and Testing isn’t Rocket Science’ and thanked all attendees and sponsors in advance. Dirk and Michael then followed with their highlights from the first and second days at the OSDC 2014.
Continuing with events, Christian announced the next round of webinars featuring Request Tracker, Puppet, Bareos and inGraph and Dirk returned with his review of Puppet Camp 2014.
Thomas then gave a comprehensive rundown of GnuPG / GPG best practices as Alexander shared his thoughts on Python 2.4 and RHEL.
Finally, Georg ended the week by introducing the newest addition to our hardware store: HW Group Poseidon2 3266.

Und wieder gibt es ein neues Produkt im NETWAYS-Online Shop. Da inzwischen das HW group Poseidon 3266 nicht mehr erhältlich ist, haben wir nun auch ganz frisch bei uns im Shop das HW group Poseidon2 3266.
Dies sieht nicht nur viel besser aus als sein Vorgänger, sondern kann auch noch viel mehr – die wichtigsten Änderungen einmal zusammengetragen:

  • robustes und kompaktes Vollmetallgehäuse (vorher Kunststoff)
  • Stromversorgung nun über Netzteil oder Industrieklemme (vorher nur Netzteil)
  • Stromversorgung für 2 Sensoren (z. B. Rauch) (neues Feature)
  • bis zu 8 Sensoren / 4 potentialfreie Kontakte (vorher max. 5 Sensoren)
  • Unterstützung von 1-Wire Uni Sensoren (neues Feature)
  • integrierter Datalogger bis 250 000 Einträge (neues Feature)

  • 5 E-Mail Alarmkontakte (vorher 4)
  • Email via SMTP TLS (neu)
